Pat Turnbull MA, LEED AP, IFMA Fellow
Pat founded Workplace-IQX in recognition of her passion around strategic,
organizational and workplace design as important drivers in shaping
corporate culture, amplifying human performance and accelerating enterprise
success. WP-IQX helps businesses link vision, strategy, brand and space
(physical & virtual) in order to deliver exception user experiences (UX) and
enhance business results.
Pat uses a collaborative approach, business analytics, workplace strategy, technology and creative communication / change management techniques to unite leadership and staff around goals and to assure acceptance of the vision and change process. She excels in developing multi-level communication plans to support change management, marketing and brand development, internal / external messaging and stakeholder engagement.
During the course of her career, Pat has focused her efforts on contributing to a more productive and sustainable Built Environment as well as to advancing the Facility Management/Real Estate profession.
She earned a Master’s Degree in business administration and organizational change (BAOC) from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) as designated by the US Green Building Council and was honored as a ‘Fellow’ of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA Fellow).
Through industry leadership, Pat has fostered relationships and built a global network of friends and colleagues. Pat is a past Director of the International Facility Management Association’s (IFMA) International Board of Directors (BOD) (2013-15) and past Chair of the IFMA Foundation Board of Trustees (BOT) (2007-2011). She is Global Co-Chair of IFMA’s Workplace Evolutionaries (WE) global community of practice and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Stuart School of Business, at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
Pat is co-author of two international, award-winning books ‘Work on the Move – Driving Strategy and Change in Workplaces’ and ‘Work on the Move 2 – How Social, Leadership and Technology Innovations are Transforming the Workplace in the Digital Economy’. She is an adjunct professor / guest lecturer at the Vienna University of Technology (TU WIEN), Institute for Real Estate and Facility Management (IFM) in Austria. She is a highly rated speaker at global facility management, design and real estate conferences.
Prior to Workplace IQX, Pat was President/COO of Kayhan International, a ‘Preferred and Best in Class’ Haworth contract furniture dealership, 2007-2017. During this time, she was recognized by Corenet as Service Provider of the Year and by Chicago’s Women in Real Estate Association. Before that, Pat held senior positions in Sales and Marketing with Haworth, Steelcase, Teknion and Clestra Hauserman. She resides in Chicago and her passions include sailing, skiing, fine/performing arts and travel.
