Creating an innovative, different kind of workplace: How employee motivation can drive space design and ultimately the impact of an organization’s brand.

Individuals and companies alike have unique personalities, strengths and motivations. What if we could leverage both for a new kind of workplace experience?
Using a data-driven approach, Liz will be discussing how employees’ unique motivations represent an organization’s brand and how space can be designed to reflect both.

Liz Zurek Beaudry owns Envision, a brand strategy and marketing communications firm. She recently acquired a software tool called MDNA that she uses in her work to measure culture as the foundation for her work. She’s worked with global brands such as the Muhammad Ali Center and the General Motors Foundation, and national brands like Cambria.

January WE:binar - Organizational Analytics

Date: Thursday, January 17, 2019
Time: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
Hosted by Megan Campbell

Organizational Analytics

Management is too slow. It can take months or years to evaluate the efficacy of management decisions, from org charts to training programs to workplace designs. This has fostered a myopic focus on cost and making the “right” decisions. The rapid proliferation of data about how organizations actually function from sources such as e-mail, calendars, and sensors, enables us to dramatically change our approach. Because we now have unprecedented accuracy and visibility of the organization, we can not only make better decisions up front but iterate very quickly when these decisions fail. In this webinar I’ll give an overview of this new organizational analytics approach, discuss case studies, and consider the implications for the future of management.

Dr. Ben Waber is the CEO and co-founder of Humanyze, an organizational analytics company that measures communication patterns to help companies answer specific business questions around organizational design, workforce planning, and regulatory compliance. He is a visiting scientist at the MIT Media Lab, previously worked as a senior researcher at Harvard Business School, and received his Ph.D. from MIT for his work with Alex “Sandy” Pentland’s Human Dynamics group. Waber’s work has been featured in major media outlets such as Wired, The Economist, and NPR. He has consulted for industry leaders such as LG, McKinsey & Company, and Gartner on technology trends, social networks, and organizational design. His book, People Analytics, was published by the Financial Times Press in 2013.
