September: Stakeholder Engagement in a Hyper-Connected world

Date: Thursday, September 16, 2021
Time: 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM EDT
Hosted by Cristina Herrera

Join us as we demystify stakeholder engagement once and for all. As well as explore real ways to co-create and engage your project management communities using human-centric approaches and collaborative technology to save you time, money and the pain of ignoring stakeholder needs.

Three distinct changes of our times have impacted why, what, and how we engage:
• A digital, hybrid workforce in a post-pandemic workplace
• The democratization of knowledge and information brought about by social, mobile and cloud technology
• Complex stakeholder expectations of inclusion, diverse consultation, and co-creation when it comes to transformation

We will cover:
1. Explore how engagement and stakeholder expectations have changed in a post-pandemic project landscape and what it means in a hyper-connected world
2. Unpack how human-centric approaches save you time and budget as well as gets you valuable buy-in to your projects quicker and mitigates risks earlier on
3. Experience, leverage and apply collaborative technology for immediate use after the session to stand out and engage the modern project stakeholder
4. Learn from the world of change management, human-centered design, and technology from REAL life case studies/research
5. Hacks to empower your project team to digitally engage stakeholders in a hybrid universe of work

Workplace Strategy & Leadership (WSL) M4-W3: Resource Management

We will merge consideration of Supply Chain Management and Resource Management since they are inextricably connected. In supply chain, we will be considering suppliers for the value they bring, not just the cost of their services. We are also sensitive to the fact that most suppliers know their business better than those seeking the services. We will learn how to provide service providers and suppliers with the ability to make their own recommendations on scope and process and to seek the value of their experience

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Workplace Strategy & Leadership (WSL) M3-W3: Risk Management

We will learn how to set up Risk Management processes and develop business continuity plans in a workplace context.  We will look at the management of all forms of risk that impact the ability of people and the workplace to perform effectively. It covers the identification and analysis of sources of risk, those practices that minimize negative impacts as well as how recovery from failures and disasters will be handled.

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Workplace Strategy & Leadership (WSL) M2-W3: Designing a Change Program

While there is much theory written on managing change, putting the theory into practice means recognizing the realities of the change and the factors at play in the environment in which the change is going to take place. We’ll talk about the practicalities of designing a change program, getting people onboard and how to maintain the change over time. We’ll also explore what it takes to be a great change leader.
