Even regular exercise can’t offset too much sitting! The news just keeps getting worse.

A large review recently published in The Journal of the National Cancer Institute confirms what we’ve been hearing for years: Sitting can be fatal. It’s been linked to cancer, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.

Kate Lister’s insight:

This was a huge study; 70,000 people. Too much sitting increase risk of colon cancer, endometrial cancer, lung cancer and more.

The fix: One minute and forty seconds of walking every 30 minutes and 2 minutes of more intensive activity every 20 minutes.
